camLine announces the release of CEDA 1.3, a Cornerstone add-on featuring a new R Version Selection capability. Users can now choose which installed version of R is used when executing R scripts within the CEDA environment.
Analytics teams may work with multiple R installations and packages that depend on specific R versions. CEDA 1.3 addresses this challenge by allowing users to select either the latest installed R version or a specific version available on their machine. This helps maintain compatibility with existing scripts, packages, and validated workflows.
The selected R version is stored individually for each R script object within the Workmap. Different scripts in the same project can therefore use different R versions when required, supporting reproducibility and the long-term maintenance of analytics workflows.
CEDA 1.3 is now available and requires Cornerstone 8.2.
Users can select their preferred R version directly within the R Script execution dialog, while CEDA automatically manages the underlying connection to the R backend.
CEDA 1.3 also maintains backward compatibility with projects created in previous versions, supporting a smooth transition for existing users.
The new functionality strengthens CEDA’s support for diverse analytics environments and helps organizations maintain reliable, reproducible R-based workflows across teams and projects.

CEDA, or Common Engineering Data Analytics, is a Cornerstone add-on that provides advanced functionality for automated data analysis. Its dynamic Workmaps allow users to perform multiple actions across data columns, apply user-defined rules, and rerun scripts on different datasets.
CEDA also supports data formats enriched with metadata and provides additional statistical analysis tools, including Cp/Cpk analyses and signature plots. These capabilities help users build repeatable analytical workflows and apply them across different datasets.
