Mark D. Swanson Memorial Scholarship: camLine Education Commitment
3:24

At camLine, supporting the next generation of innovators is one of the most meaningful ways to shape the future of technology. The Mark D. Swanson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by Romaric Corporation to honor the life and legacy of Mark D. Swanson, Romaric’s co-founder, Vice President, and board member.

When Romaric became part of camLine through its acquisition, we made a clear commitment: this scholarship would continue as a lasting tribute to Mark’s passion for technology, his dedication to learning, and the positive energy he brought to those around him. Today, the scholarship reflects both his legacy and camLine’s continued investment in education and innovation.

About the Scholarship

The Mark D. Swanson Memorial Scholarship recognizes students who are ambitious, dedicated, and committed to pursuing careers in computer science, software engineering, or related fields. Although financial circumstances are taken into account, the scholarship primarily recognizes students who demonstrate the drive, curiosity, and resilience that defined Mark’s career.

What makes this scholarship special is its combination of financial support and career opportunities. Recipients are also introduced to internships and potential future employment with camLine. This reflects our belief that real-world experience, paired with academic achievement, builds the foundation for long-term success in the technology industry.

Celebrating the 2025 Recipients

This year, we are proud to recognize two outstanding students from the University of Utah – John and Marcia Price College of Engineering as the 2025 recipients of the Mark D. Swanson Memorial Scholarship:

  • Tom Fenno, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Cognitive Science, anticipated graduation in Summer 2026.
  • Aiden Colley, majoring in Computer Science, anticipated graduation in Spring 2027.

Both Tom and Aiden embody the ambition, curiosity, and commitment to excellence that this scholarship is intended to recognize.

Each year, as we meet new scholarship recipients, we are reminded of why this initiative matters. Their energy and aspirations reflect the same qualities that inspired Mark’s career, and we are honored to support their journey.
