Accelerating Automation with Enriched Service Assurance Data

Automation is now generally agreed to be a strategic imperative across most industries, with telecoms being no exception to this rule. The reasons for this are well-known:

• Enhanced efficiency
• Reduced cost of operations
• Enhanced agility

While automation efforts are being directed at all network domains and operational systems, one area in particular has attracted considerable attention – the automation of Service Assurance.

In this paper, we’ll discuss how Service Assurance can be automated, with a focus on specific use cases. We’ll also show how new automations can be unlocked with the appropriate underlying service assurance framework in place.
