  • Collecting and interpreting signaling data – foundational for managing network performance, troubleshooting and optimization.

  • Because it’s the process of both collecting information from network entities and making it accessible to users. Users can be expert engineers or have other roles. Business processes may also require this information through integration.

  • The information exchanged between network entities, nodes and platforms precisely defines the requirements and expected performance for user sessions. As such, it’s a hugely valuable resource but it’s also where problems can often be found. This is what we need to monitor and the ability to tap into this information and decode it effectively is fundamental, which is why we need comprehensive network monitoring software that can collect and process this data, like OSIX.

  • Yes, different users have different priorities. So, Network Monitoring solutions must support different levels of access – from the raw protocol data to higher-level information. The ability to move from one level to another accelerates troubleshooting and lets different users obtain the information they need.

  • Most CSPs run networks that are built from multiple generations of technology – that means that, alongside today’s SBI interfaces, they will have SS7, Diameter and much more, with each family of protocols having multiple members and variants.
