1 Platform
One integrated probing system for all networking monitoring needs - covering all generations of network technology.
Network and service performance issues must be identified and resolved quickly and effectively. However, the problem is that signs of degradation or issues can be scattered across multiple domains - visible in one area but rooted in another. The solution is comprehensive monitoring through probes that provide end-to-end visibility across all network and service domains.

- That’s Truly Fit for Purpose
Networks are complex, with diverse domains, interfaces, protocols, and technologies. Achieving the required visibility demands probe solutions that support all 3GPP standard and non-standard control and user plane links.
Probes must provide comprehensive support for the interfaces and protocols in your network, a clear evolution path for future releases and updates, and intelligent real-time data handling. Efficient filtering and smart data processing are critical to managing the vast volumes of information, captured across multiple domains
You need to capture all signaling flows in your network, so you can more easily discover where problems really lie – to discover their root cause. OSIX provides the probe and trace capabilities you need to understand what’s really happening in your network.
Independent and objective, OSIX gives you the complete picture, enabling your team to trace, diagnose and resolve problems, across all generations of technology and with the interfaces you need for your network.
With OSIX, CSPs can capture all the data they need from their signaling interfaces, process it, and then easily track what’s happening across all events involved in session flows. Users can navigate from high-level data, all the way down to protocol information.
With multi-domain and multi-interface protocol tracing capabilities, you can easily filter and process data to discover what you need to resolve issues, optimize performance and troubleshoot effectively – providing a powerful tool that grows with your network to support your evolving portfolio.
Understanding root cause is key to resolving issues – exactly where the fault lies and what caused it. OSIX gathers all the information you need to rapidly perform root cause analysis and to isolate problems, accelerating problem solving and ensuring swift resolution to maintain expected service levels and KPIs.
Because OSIX supports an extensive – and growing – list of protocols, you can be confident that your investment will last, as your network evolves and embraces new technologies. The expertise you hold in your centers of excellence can be nurtured and enhanced, maximizing your returns on your OSIX deployment.
By combining current and historic data, you can select, track and manage the KPIs that matter to your business. Signaling information can indicate events that may be yet to occur, so you can create an accurate picture of service performance through time.
Signaling information can give indicators of events that may yet to occur, based on abnormal traffic levels or unexpected message exchanges. By identifying these early, events that impair performance or which could degrade your network can be tackled before they have an impact on services, customers or SLAs.
“3 Scandinavia is already effectively using the whole range of Polystar product portfolio, including OSIX Monitoring and OSS solutions. Now, with the MediaProbe in place, we will be able to obtain 100% of the network’s user data in real-time, ensure an insight into the service-quality the customers are experiencing and reduce churn by shorting the time to resolve customer complaints.”
With the volume of data in today’s networks, manual monitoring is impossible. With thousands of data points and KPIs, you need robust system support for efficient network monitoring. Listen to our Henri Helanterä, Head of Network Assurance at Polystar, as he explains the importance of Automated Network Monitoring – and how manual tasks in network operations could be eliminated.

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Enhancing public safety with precision monitoring
Public Warning Systems (PWS) allow government agencies and public authorities to rapidly inform citizens about developing and ongoing emergencies. In 3GPP-based networks, this is typically achieved through Cell Broadcast and Location-based SMS.
– With ML-based geolocation for accurate, pinpoint accuracy
Our RAN monitoring solution visualizes radio performance data on Google Maps, offering a clear geographic view. This enables users to analyze and resolve network coverage issues while pinpointing root causes.
Real-time insights and customizable workflows
Our Network Monitoring solution delivers rapid responsiveness and seamless scalability to support your critical 5G SA assurance processes efficiently and effectively.
Collecting and interpreting signaling data – foundational for managing network performance, troubleshooting and optimization.
Because it’s the process of both collecting information from network entities and making it accessible to users. Users can be expert engineers or have other roles. Business processes may also require this information through integration.
The information exchanged between network entities, nodes and platforms precisely defines the requirements and expected performance for user sessions. As such, it’s a hugely valuable resource but it’s also where problems can often be found. This is what we need to monitor and the ability to tap into this information and decode it effectively is fundamental, which is why we need comprehensive network monitoring software that can collect and process this data, like OSIX.
Yes, different users have different priorities. So, Network Monitoring solutions must support different levels of access – from the raw protocol data to higher-level information. The ability to move from one level to another accelerates troubleshooting and lets different users obtain the information they need.
Most CSPs run networks that are built from multiple generations of technology – that means that, alongside today’s SBI interfaces, they will have SS7, Diameter and much more, with each family of protocols having multiple members and variants. These will continue to evolve, so comprehensive support is needed – and an eye on each new 3GPP or other interface iteration is required to ensure that changes are made when versions are updated with new releases.
Network monitoring must extend to current and legacy interfaces and protocols, so solutions must support these and any subsequent iterations or changes. This is particularly important when swapping out network nodes, or when updating software – if the release level changes, then the network monitoring software must also switch to the new interfaces deployed.
Troubleshooting is a key discipline and, when problems are detected, needs to proceed rapidly. Targeting specific streams or tracking back from one observed incident to determine the root cause of an issue must be facilitated by network monitoring software, backed by intuitive user interfaces and commands.
Signaling and control plane data isn’t just essential for troubleshooting and network management, it can also inform other processes. Access via APIs enables network data to be shared with any other system that can benefit from real-time or managed feeds.
Access from anywhere is now essential – as is access at any time. Enabling browser access means that any authorized user can access network data, wherever they are – under full control of your security policies, enhancing collaboration opportunities.
