PCB Intelligence: Turn Gerber files into quoting intelligence.

Upload Gerber files to automatically extract PCB specifications, visualize the board, and identify manufacturing characteristics. Give your quoting team the information they need to price PCBAs more accurately and reduce engineering back-and-forth.

PCB Stack Mock

Why EMS teams use PCB Intelligence

A BOM tells you what components are on the board. PCB Intelligence tells you what you're actually quoting.

Get the Full Picture

A BOM tells you what to assemble. Gerber files reveal how the board is built. View board dimensions, layer count, thickness, and stack-up without manually reviewing dozens of files.

Improve Quote Accuracy

Understanding the PCB helps you estimate manufacturing complexity, communicate more effectively with PCB suppliers, and build more accurate PCB and PCBA quotes.

Reduce Quoting Delays

Identify missing files, manufacturability concerns, and PCB characteristics early so your team can resolve questions before they slow down the quoting process.

Extra data from Gerber files automatically

Upload a Gerber package and CalcuQuote automatically maps layers, extracts board information including board dimensions, thickness, and copper layer count.

Outcome: your quoting team starts with verified PCB data instead of assumptions.

PBC View Mock 1

Visualize the board

Render the complete PCB and switch individual layers on or off to inspect copper, solder mask, silkscreen, drills, and other manufacturing details.

Outcome: you see the real board, not just a file list.

Verify the stack-up

Files are auto-mapped into layers with editable thickness, material and polarity. Render a visual preview of the full stack-up, drill data included.

Effect: the board’s real structure verified visually before it drives the price.

Analyze Manufacturing Complexity

The analysis pulls manufacturing and assembly information such as SMT and through hole pads, test points and other board characteristics. You will not use every metric on every quote. The point is that the information is there when you or your PCB supplier needs it.

Outcome: better understand what drives PCB cost and assembly complexity.

What the analysis actually shows you

Every board is broken down into the specifics that drive cost and manufacturability, not just a general complexity score.

Assembly complexity Board fabrication Manufacturability
Total pad and drill hole count, so you know the board’s scale before pricing Fiducial presence, which machines need for placement alignment Via count as its own complexity signal
SMT pad sizes broken down, so suppliers spot unusual footprints early
Connection metrics between layers, not just the layer list Drill-to-edge and pad-to-edge clearance, the numbers suppliers check first
Checked against real thresholds like minimum annular ring and copper-to-edge clearance Parsing problems point to the exact file at fault Export the original files, board state, or layer images straight from CalcuQuote

Built into the Quote Solution

The board information does not live in a separate tool. It stays on the quote. Board complexity feeds your material and labor decisions, the rendered board travels with the RFQ, and you can send PCB bid sheets to suppliers from the same record. One quote, complete with the board inside it.

We take pride in 98% retention rate

Sabrina Beck
Vice President | Altek Electronics

“We’re in a really challenging environment right now, and some of the components are very difficult to find. That’s where we need to put all of our effort. CalcuQuote has enabled us to distill down to those components that we need to pay the most attention to.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Inside the quote, in the PCB tab. Attach Gerber files at the RFQ header or on a PCB line item and the board loads automatically.

  • Layer count, board size and thickness are read directly from the files, and layers are auto-mapped into a stack-up. Other details like finish, IPC class, RoHS and plating are set by you.

  • Board overview, pad classification (SMT, through-hole, vias, test points, fiducials), panelization, feature detection such as gold fingers and castellation holes, DFM checks, and detailed fabrication specs including drill analysis, annular rings, clearances, copper percentage, solder mask and silkscreen.

  • Both. Assemblers get assembly complexity signals such as pad counts, SMT and through hole mix, and panelization. Board manufacturers get the full fabrication specification. Hybrid companies benefit most.

  • Files are stored on infrastructure appropriate to your designation, including ITAR servers for ITAR customers, and never leave that environment.
